Our wines are made in a straight-forward style.  Grapes are picked at a balanced level of ripeness, fermented, moved into barrels with about 50% new French oak and bottled approximately 21 months after harvest.  Alcohol and extraction levels are generally lower than typical Oakville Cabernets making the wines approachable early in their lives. They are pleasant to drink on their own or with a meal.  The tasting notes for the 2012 blend are graciously provided by Margaux Singleton whose Calistoga shop, Enoteca, carries our wines.

With a dark ruby-red hue, this wine delves deeper into the black fruit zone with suggestions of black cherry and blackberry.  There is alluring freshness, vitality and silkiness, accompanied by depth and breadth, structure, and a long finish.  This wine is pure classic Cabernet and true to its stellar terroir.  Drink now or over the next decade or two.

Oakville AVA has hung its hat on world-class Cabernet.  Nemerever Vineyards, situated in the sweet spot of Oakville, just might be the best-kept secret for those in the know.

Claret in color, here is a new Nemerever addition that impresses with aromas of vivid ripe red fruits like raspberries, cherries, currants and cranberries, with a hint of fine leather on the nose.  Across the palate there are no jagged edges, the tannins are soft and supple, and all the wine's elements are in perfect proportion--truly complementary to each other.  In short, it is flat-out delicious.  Accessible now, or cellar over the next decade.
